William Neave Parker spent most of his working life at the Natural History Museum in London, where he was engaged mainly on the reconstruction of dinosaurs. He illustrated a number of books and articles on prehistoric animals and in 1937 he published an album entitled A Picture Book of Linocuts, containing twenty linocut depictions of animals. As an original printmaker Neave Parker worked both linocut and wood engraving, producing only very small editions of ten or less impressions, normally printed on thin Japan-style paper.
