Very good signed proof impression with rich drypoint burr.

This accomplished original drypoint is typical of the Scottish river landscapes by Johnstone Baird. A highly active original printmaker and a member of the Glasgow Society of Painter-Etchers, Baird maintained a flat in London throughout the 1920’s in order to capitalise on the popularity of his Scottish views with English clients during the etching boom.

On simile Japan paper with full margins. Very fine original condition.
