Very fine signed proof impression from the only published edition, as issued by H.C. Dickins. With the rose blindstamp dated 1921 in the margin at the lower left corner of the sheet (the Beetles/Wootton catalogue gives the date of this etching erroneously as 1922).
Leap Frog was selected for exhibition at both the 1922 Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and for exhibition at the Royal Scottish Academy: the edition sold out on the opening day.
On cream laid paper with full margins and deckle edges. Excellent original condition. |
