Very fine signed proof impression with fresh colours, printed in blue-green, yellow, orange and black inks. From the only edition of 35 signed and numbered proofs.

Dolf Rieser experimented with various material and sandpaper grounds for his imaginative colour prints of this nature. In this African-inspired image, he has overlaid a patterned ground with traditional etching to create the effect of both water and of the cracked surface of dried leaves.

On cream wove J Whatman paper, with full margins and deckle edge. Generally good original condition.
