Original Muirhead Bone drypoint.
Excellent impression printed with considerable plate tone, from the only edition of 36 signed proof impressions (40 in all).
Hove, now a part of the conurbation of Brighton, was at this time a popular seaside resort on the southern coast of England and Muirhead Bone has shown the beach with its bathing machines, its boats, and its summer visitors seated under their parasols.

On fibrous simile Japan paper with full margins and deckle edge. Mild time tone in outer margins, otherwise very good condition. |
