Original Marius Bauer etching.
Very good impression printed in brownish black ink with considerable plate tone. From the only edition of 100 signed proofs.
The Kremlin dates from the year in which Marius Bauer was awarded the Grand Prix for etching at the World Fair in Paris, an honour which heshared with Anders Zorn and J.A.McN. Whistler.
On cream laid Van Gelder Zonen paper with full margins and deckle edge. Very good original condition. |
