The wonderful expressive lyricism of this linocut is indicative of the inspiration which lay behind almost all of Berenice Sydney's work. Berenice was a lover of dancing, ballet, and music, and her graphic work reflects this prevailing inspiration in its rhythmic, harmonious fluency of form and movement. Berenice Sydney's works of this nature are beautiful, satisfying, and have no direct counterpart in original English printmaking.

On warm white wove paper with margins, as issued. Traces of previous mounting tape at extreme edges of sheet verso, otherwise very good original condition.
