This striking image of the giant ovens and kilns which dominated the landscape of the Potteries, dwarfing the houses and their inhabitant workers, depicts these monumental constructions akin to great temples, deified by the rays of light which stream down upon them. One of Brammer's finest printed works and one of the greatest industrial images in the history of British printmaking.
