Etched while John Bulloch Souter was still living in Scotland, Washerwomen, Madrid is one of the largest and most elaborate of J.B. Souter’s early landscape etchings.
On heavy cream wove paper, with margins. Faint mat line in outer margin and some traces of glue from previous mounting at extreme edges of sheet, otherwise very good original condition. Image surface, excellent. |
