The original plate for this etching still exists and unsigned modern re-strikes can be found, often with rather garish added colouring. The modern re-strikes do not compare in quality with the artist’s own signed original proofs of the sort offered here.
On cream laid paper with full margins and deckle edge. Slight time tone within mat window area. Evidence of old tapes at outer edges of sheet, otherwise generally good original condition. |
