Original Eleanor Hughes etching.
Trial proof impression in an early state of the plate, prior to further furrows in the ploughed field at the lower right of the image and prior to the addition of a second tree at the extreme left. For the subsequent state Hughes reduced the size of this image by cutting about 5mm from the lefthand and upper edges of the metal plate.
From the artist’s own personal collection and signed with the artist’s signature stamp.
On cream laid paper with full margins and deckle edge. Very good original condition. |
