Unique working proof impression, touched by the artist with white chalk in preparation for burnishing small areas of the plate. Eleanor Hughes used this impression as a guide proof and the extreme outer corners of the sheet have pinholes where it was once attached to the artist’s studio tackboard.

On cream/oatmeal wove paper with full margins and deckle edge. Generally very good original condition for a working proof of this nature. |
