Original Marjorie Firth wood engraving.

Very good artist’s proof impression, prior to any published edition.

The wood engraver Marjorie Firth exhibited widely between the years 1920 and 1940 at the Royal Academy and elsewhere – proofs of her finely wrought wood engravings are now scarce.

This view of the pagoda in Kew Gardens is one of a number of wood engraved views which Marjorie Firth made around the Richmond area in the mid-1920’s.

On simile Japan paper with full margins and deckle edge. Some uniform discolouration to sheet, otherwise very good original condition.
