Outstanding early impression with bright contrast and exceptional clarity of line. D.C.Read made only a very few subject etchings on biblical themes of which Christ in a Storm is by far the most dramatic. Etched on an almost miniature scale this striking work demonstrates D.C.Read’s considerable abilities to convey both detail and movement in a confined space.
