Excellent, strong impression, from the only published edition, as issued in 1872 by the Etching Club.

Silver Thames is a fine example of Richard Redgrave’s highly accomplished landscape etchings. It combines a naturalistic landscape view, with the genre subjects of fishing and boating on the lower reaches of the Thames to produce a splendid period scene. An impression of this etching was exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1867.

On a fine cream India paper applied to original warm white wove backing sheet, with full margins, as issued. Slight discolouration at extreme outer edge of backing sheet, otherwise very good original condition. Image surface excellent.
