Very good impression with fresh colour, signed by both of the Morton twins. The effect of this proof is enhanced by the slight three-dimensional rise in the paper, due to the pressure of printing. An outstanding achievement of the multiple block process, the subtle gradation of colours producing a wonderful atmospheric effect – one of the finest joint works by these talented brothers.

Almost all of Concorde and Cavendish Mortons' large colour woodcuts depict landscapes in the Isle of Wight.

On thick simile Japan paper, with full margins. Very good condition.
