Signed artist’s proof impression printed from three blocks in black, blue and yellow brownish inks. A proof printed in preparation for use of these blocks as a hand-printed postcard of the sort sold by John Petts and his wife from their Caseg Press around 1937-1940 and again after the war was over.
(John Petts’ wife, Brenda Chamberlain made a very similar, but horizontal, wood engraving of Y Grib Goch in about 1939).
On smooth cream card, with margins as prepared by the artist. Very good original condition. |
