Original Julius Komjati etching.
Excellent impression from the only edition of 75 signed proofs, published by H.C. Dickins in 1928.
Newhaven depicts the artist’s first impression of England, having been the very first work which Julius Komjáti drew upon his arrival. It shows a typical bright, blustery day on the southern coast. A number of fishermen people the jetty and shoreline, their rods silhouetted against the the bright background light.
On oatmeal wove paper with margins, as issued. Very fine original condition. |
