Excellent, very strong impression printed in brownish-black ink; from the only edition of about 20 signed proofs.
One of the earliest original lithographs to show the use of motorised transport in war. The introduction of motorised vehicles was a key factor in changing the nature of warfare when the First World War began.
On smooth simile-Japan paper with full margins and deckle edge. Mottled discolouration in outer margins of sheet only, otherwise very fine original condition. |
