Original Graham Clilverd etching.

Excellent signed proof impression with exceptional tonal range and fine clarity of line.

This superb architectural interior displays Graham Clilverd’s mature etching style to the full. Graham B. Clilverd was one of the few original printmakers to continue working in the traditional manner after the Second World War and this splendid view of the interior of Grays Inn Hall is one of the latest of his works yet to come to light. The highly accomplished works of this gifted printmaker are at last receiving the attention they have always deserved; however, at the time of G.B. Clilverd’s appearance as a printmaker, the collapse of the etching market had already begun and the decline in publications concerning original prints deprived his highly proficient works of the publicity they ought to have received.

On cream laid paper with margins. Very good original condition. Image surface excellent.
