Very fine impression of the engraving by Luigi (Lewis) Schiavonetti after William Blake’s design, from the second issue, as printed for the 1813 edition of Robert Blair’s The Grave. This image was never engraved by William Blake himself - consequently, the engraving offered here is the only form in which this superb image can be obtained.
On cream wove paper with margins, as issued. Generally very fine original condition. |
