Very fine signed proof impression from the edition of 50 signed and numbered proofs, with Gustave Pellet’s red monogram stamp (Lugt 1193).
In this image of an attractive girl rearranging her hair whilst lying on the grass, her tennis racquet cast to one side, Louis Legrand’s suggestive innuendo is carried into its title, Lawn Tennis.
On cream laid paper, watermarked Pellet et Legrand, with full margins and deckle edge. Very fine original condition. |
