Hester Frood

Born in New Zealand, Hester Frood came to England at the age of seven and spent her youth near Exeter in Devon. She met the famous printmaker D.Y. Cameron on a visit to Scotland in 1906. He was so impressed with her work that he told her to “draw and draw” and offered to teach her the technique of etching.
