Original William Walcot etching.
Very fine signed proof impression of this famous Cambridge view. From the only edition of 150 impressions.
This delicate etched view of King’s College, Cambridge is a fine example of the artist’s earlier etched work and is directly related to William Walcot’s watercolour of the same subject (illustrated in Architectural Watercolours and Etchings of W. Walcot, H.C. Dickins, 1919, p.137).
On cream laid paper with wide margins. Mat line in outer margins and stock number in outer margin verso, otherwise very fine original condition. Image surface excellent. |
