Original etching by Leonard Brammer.
Outstanding signed proof impression from the only edition.
There was a roundhouse at each end of the main façade of the Wedgwood factory. By the time of this etching, subsidence had caused the roundhouse depicted to stand lower than the level of the adjacent canal. The original purpose of the roundhouses is now unknown, though in their latter years they were used for storage. All that remains standing of the original Wedgwood factory at Etruria is the nothern roundhouse.
On cream wove paper with full margins. Very fine original condition. |
