Original Henry Rushbury drypoint.
Outstanding signed proof impression from the artist’s own collection, thence by inheritance to his widow, Florence Rushbury. A truly superb example of the freshly completed plate, inscribed in pencil “Brewery, Sandwich. 3rd state. Published state. Own collection. F.R.”. The sole edition of the plate consisted of only 30 signed proofs.
On antique laid paper with full margins and deckle edge. Faint browning and mild suggestion of foxing, otherwise very good original condition. |
