Original Salomon van Abbé drypoint.

Very good impression, with burr, from the only edition of 50 signed and numbered proofs.

It is clear that Salomon van Abbé regarded this large drypoint as a work of particular significance as he chose to exhibit an impression of this work at The Royal Society of Paiter-Etchers and Engravers in 1927, at the Bromhead Art Gallery exhibition in London in 1928, and at The Royal Society of British Artists in 1933. In later years this drypoint became the most exhibited of all of his printed works.

On cream J Whatman paper with wide margins. Some mild discolouration to sheet. Time toned verso, otherwise generally good original condition.
