Early proof of the completed image, printed just after the addition of further furrows in the ploughed field at the lower right of the image and with the second tree now showing at the extreme left of the image. In this state the plate has been cut down by the artist to the size later used for the published edition.

On cream wove paper with full margins and deckle edge. Some traces of printer’s ink verso only, otherwise very fine original condition. |
