Very good, richly inked proof impression from the only edition.
Lincoln's Inn in London is one of the oldest centres for practicing lawyers in this country. London's Inns of Court are the professional associations of barristers in England and Wales (barristers are known variously as attorneys, advocates or councellors in other countries). The Honourable Society of Lincoln's Inn is the largest of London's four main Inns of Court and Old Square lies at its heart. The buildings of Old Square were mostly constructed during the sixteenth century but changes have continued to the present day; they contain both legal chambers and flats used by barristers, solicitors and other professional bodies associated with the practice of law.
Old Square, Lincoln's Inn is a particularly fine example of Herbert Reeve's accomplished drypoint views of London.
On warm white wove paper with full margins. Very good original condition, with a thin strip of paper mounting tape at extreme outer edges of sheet. Image surface excellent. |
