Inscribed in pencil by the artist “24/50 Stephen Gooden ARA. 1940.”
Excellent signed proof impression with particularly fine, sparkling line. Mouse is one of the finest examples of Stephen Gooden's remarkable ability to portray the character of an animal in a beautifully composed gem of line engraving.
On cream laid paper with margins. Faint mat line in outer margins, otherwise very fine original condition. Image surface excellent. |
