Original Kenneth Steel drypoint.

Excellent impression with rich drypoint burr. A very beautiful signed proof impression from the only published edition of 95 impressions issued by James Connell & Sons in 1935.

Loch Lomond in western Scotland is the largest lake in Great Britain by surface area. The village of Luss is situated on the west bank of the Loch in the counties of Argyll & Bute. Kenneth Steel made two other similar drypoints of this immediate area entitled Ranger’s Lodge, Loch Lomond (1936) and Inchlonaig (1934), both show the island of Inchlonaig which lies in the centre of the Loch, opposite the village of Luss.

On cream wove paper with margins. Very good original condition. Image surface excellent.
