This landscape fantasy recalls children’s tales of imagination of the style which inspired the great illustrators of the early 20th century. Rich in symbolism and tinged with mystery Ruckdeschel’s work of this nature maybe compared directly with the etchings of Heinrich Vogeler.
On cream wove paper with full margins and deckle edge. Water stain at lower right corner of sheet in outer margin only, otherwise very fine original condition. |
