Biography

Winner of the Prix de Rome for engraving in 1925, Geoffrey H.Wedgwood produced a fine and distinctive body of topographical works in a combinations of etching, drypoint and line engraving. These beautifully precise views are chiefly architectural in content, although G.H.Wedgewood invariably introduces highly stylised and charmingly observed local figures to add a sense of activity to his compositions.
