Charles William Cain’s impressive body of printed work is almost exclusively derived from the artist’s extensive travels throughout the orient between 1915 and the early 1930’s. Cain’s carefully observed and finely executed drypoints are composed with a painterly eye which adds an insight and a visual charm to these accurate topographical records of the east as it was then. |
