This beautifully worked etching shows William Walcot at his best. Here we have the superb architectural draughtsmanship, the distinctive impressionistic handling and all of the effects of the hustle and bustle of daily life compressed together into one small etching of remarkable intensity. A miniature masterpiece in its own right, this remains one of William Walcot’s finest plates.

On cream laid F J Head paper, with the 1919 rose blindstamp, with full margins and deckle edge. Generally very good original condition.
