Original William Walcot etching with drypoint and aquatint.
Excellent signed proof impression from the only edition.
William Walcot’s etchings of the great Italian cities of Florence, Naples and Venice proved to be some of the most popular of all of his original prints. His delight in depicting the richly varied Italian architecture is especially apparent in this finely wrought etching.
On cream wove Whatman 1919 paper with the rose blindstamp, with full margins and deckle edge. Very fine original condition. |
