Particularly good, strong impression printed in three colours: blue-grey, green, and brown and inks on cream wove paper with margins, as issued. Special trial proof, aside from the edition of 200 numbered impressions printed for Hans Erni by La Maison Kratz in Zurich and published by L’Oeuvre gravée, Zurich. Signed and inscribed in pencil by the artist “Epr. d’essai”.
This attractive nude study succeeds in capturing the mellow warmth of summer in its soft, flowing line. An especially beautiful example of this talented Swiss printmaker’s art.
On warm cream wove BFK Rives paper with full margins and deckle edge. Mat line in outer margins and evidence of previous mounting at edges of sheet verso. One small scuff in lower outer margin, otherwise good original condition. Image surface in very good condition. |
