Excellent signed proof impression.
One of the artist’s earliest printed works, this elaborate image shows tradesmen unloading tobacco barrels and timber from wagons outside one of the many public houses near the centre of Bristol’s river harbour area in 1912.
On simile Japan paper with narrow margins. Laid on board, with marginal defects. Image in good original condition.
Provenance: From the collection of Phyllis Heaney, the artist’s daughter – thence by descent to her granddaughter. |
