Original Stanley Anderson etching.

Very good, strong impression from the only edition of 109 signed proofs. As issued by the Print Collectors’ Club, 1925, and with the ‘CP’ monogram in the plate.

One of the earlier group of Stanley Anderson’s scenes depicting the tramps of London, this image casts a somewhat cynical eye upon the established art in our major public galleries. The paintings hang unnoticed as the visitors sit, reading the newspaper or knitting, and the tramps lie asleep.

On cream wove paper, with full margins. Very fine original condition. Image surface excellent.
