Very good signed proof impression with considerable burr to the drypoint line.
The view shows Shrewsbury School in Shropshire as seen from the River Severn. This stretch of river is well known for rowing and boat races are held along its length. The building at the river's edge is one of the boathouses used to keep the eights and other racing boats.
On cream wove paper with full margins. Some time toning to sheet, otherwise very good original condition. |
