Brilliant impression of this magnificent etching. An outstanding presentation proof, inscribed by the artist in pencil “To my friend A.E. Carling with my compliments and thanks. John Taylor Arms 1928”. From the only edition of 100 signed proofs (101 in total).
Arms spent many years creating his series of etchings of French churches and the series includes some of his most elaborate plates, of which Lace in Stone: Rouen Cathedral remains the outstanding technical tour de force.
