Excellent impression with clear, crisp line; printed with plate tone. From the only edition of 109 signed proofs, printed by the artist in late 1939 and issued by the Print Collectors’ Club as their presentation plate in 1940. With the ‘CP’ monogram in the plate.
On pale cream wove paper with full margins and deckle edge. Excellent original condition. The original Print Collectors’ Club title label accompanies this particular proof impression. |
