Original Stanley Anderson drypoint.

Excellent proof impression with rich drypoint burr, from the only edition of 65 signed proofs.

During the decades leading up to the Second World War, Stanley Anderson created a significant group of topographical drypoints depicting some of the most picturesque townscapes of France. This splendid view of St. Gervais, Falaise is one of the best known of this remarkable body of topographical works.

On cream wove paper, with wide margins. Time toned verso and with mat line in outer margins due to previous mountboard, otherwise very good original condition.
