Very fine impression from the only edition of 100 signed proofs.
As Marius Bauer continued to develop the imagery which he had recorded on his first trip to the orient into furthers etchings, his images of the east became ever more detailed and visionary. He would elaborate his rapid sketches from memory into ever more exotic scenes of opulent palaces such as this etching of Oriental Interior.
On cream laid paper, with full margins and deckle edge. Mild mat line, otherwise very good original condition. |
