Original Kenneth Broad woodcut.

This view of St. Martin’s-in-the-fields from Trafalgar Square shows the National Gallery at the left of the image with the red open-top buses and many of the new motorised vehicles plying their way along the broad swathe of road in the foreground. In recent years, this road has been closed and paved as a pedestrian precinct. Kenneth Broad’s lively colour woodcut is a fascinating record of this part of London, as it was before the Second World War.

On simile Japan paper, with margins as issued. Generally very good original condition.
