Ethel Gabain’s unique ability to depict sentiment is seen here at its most powerful. This exquisite lithograph of a young bride standing in pensive solitude on the morning of her wedding day has a poignant charm mingled with a feeling of tenderness and intimacy unique to Gabain’s work. There is a restrained elegance to this image which, tinged with Gabain’s French stylishness, places it amongst the masterpieces of modern lithography.

On fine Japan paper with full margins. Excellent condition.
